How we did it
We only used prices that installers publish on their own websites, checked in October 2026. Where a firm lists several boilers, the stats use its cheapest package once. A "from" price is the starting price for that package. Prices change, so treat these as a benchmark to hold a quote against, not a quote.

Questions people ask
How much is a new combi boiler in Ireland?
Across 12 Irish installers who publish a combi price, the middle half charge €2,199–€2,800 for a like-for-like combi swap, and the median is €2,600. The lowest published price is €1,800 and the highest €4,800. See every published price.
Do the prices include VAT?
Not always. Many installers don't say. Ask for a written price that includes VAT, the flue, the flush, the filter and the certificate.
Why do prices vary so much?
Different boilers, different warranties, and different extras in the package. Some prices are introductory offers. Compare what's included, not just the headline figure.
Is there a grant for a new gas boiler?
No. In SEAI's own words, it "does not provide grants for the installation of new or replacement fossil fuel boilers, such as gas or oil boilers" (SEAI). You may get the €700 heating controls grant if your home was built and occupied before 2011 (SEAI). The €2,000 boiler scrappage grant only applies when a heat pump replaces the boiler.
